Our Imminent DemiseFamilies packed into FireTraps they can barely afford, cesspools of human waste and disease lining the streets, thousands crammed into a soup kitchen on the brink of failure; New York City in 1931, or our future if we don’t change our ways? Every year American colleges spend thousands of dollars to recruit prospective students directly from High school. With pressure coming in from colleges to succeed, and high schools constantly pushing their students towards a college education, many crack and just give up, falling under the radar and barely passing school. In fact, many students see it as lowering themselves by taking a blue-collar job becOur Imminent Demise

From me
And It amazes me how arrogant some people can be. You come on my page bashing my work, yet your featured poem is complete crap. Come on, that has to be the most sophomoric piece of writing I have read. You rely on adjectives that you feel have some sort of bite to relay a story that could be summed up much easier and quicker. Not to mention you misspelled friend. Granted, the one poem you read, "Emo", is not much better but at least I have some good poetry on my account.
How about before you do any commenting, you study how to write poetry. Symbolism, literary device, imagery; poetry is not just an eclectic mix of words meant to stir up some bestial emotion. Move away from the theme of what a sad 13 year old you are and try your hand at something new. When you write something I can respect, I'll take you seriously. Until then, please, stfu.

Behind the corpse in the reservoir, behind the ghost on the links,
Behind the lady who dances and the man who madly drinks
Under the look of fatigue, the attack of migrane and the sigh
There is always another story, there is more than meets the eye.
